TT3D - CLOSER TO THE EDGE

REVIEWS

“TT3D: Closer To The Edge” is the world's first feature film Sports Documentary in 3D. Richard de Aragüés developed many new 3D techniques in order to capture the greatest road race in the world – The Isle of Man ‘TT’. This legendary 33.37 mile circuit calls for a commitment far beyond any other racing event, where the bikes can hit 200mph as they race along public roads just millimeters from dry stone walls, telegraph poles... and death. With unique behind-the-scenes access to the races and the lives of the riders, the drama, tension and tragedy all combine to both thrill the audience and tell a very moving human story. The film captures the unique atmosphere of this last bastion of biking freedom, and using stunning 3D footage it allows mere mortals to experience the terrifying risks but ultimate highs of riding so close to the edge...

Before principal photography began on the TT3D project, Richard had already completed co-writing a feature film script based on the life of the legendary TT racer Mike Hailwood and his friendship and rivalry with the Italian Giacamo Agostini, set during the TT’s glamorous heyday in the 1960’s.

TT3D - ‘Closer to the Edge’ has already received outstanding reviews from respected film critics and an overwhelming response from the public, many of whom confessed they had no interest in bikers or racing, yet ‘TT3D’ had totally engrossed them in its story. The reaction amongst motor racing fans has obviously been ecstatic! Currently his IMDb profile is 8.4 and the barometer of film criticism, ‘Rotten Tomatoes’ has an almost unprecedented rating of 100%.
